Chief Benson Abounu, the Deputy Governor-Elect of Benue State has disclosed that his elevation was predicted by the Senate President, David Mark and his grandmother.
Abounu who spoke at a reception in his honour at his Otukpo-Icho said his grandmother told him before she passed on that he would be a king someday while the Senate President, David Mark, had also said he would be somebody in the country.
“Mark told me sometime in his bedroom that I will be somebody in this country and said he believed in what he was saying since his intuition does not fail him.”
The Deputy Governor-Elect vowed to do his best to rescue Idoma people who he said have been in depravity for sixteen years.
“Our people will no longer be in depravity, they will no longer be in deprivation, not only in Benue State but in the entire country.”
“We must clean up Otukpo because that’s the headquarters of Idoma people. We will also clean up other places in Idoma land,” Abounu maintained.
He added that the liberation would not be a matter of APC members alone but all that are concerned about the progress of the people who have been in bondage for the past sixteen years.
Chief Abounu also thanked all the leaders of the party in the zone for what they had achieved in the zone and the country at large by voting the APC into power.
